Jennifer is a member of the Iowa Academy of Trust and Estate Counsel and has been active in professional associations, including the Iowa State Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Shelby County Bar Association, and Nebraska State Bar Association. She has served on the Iowa State Bar Association Rural Practice Committee, participated in Class II of the Heart of America Professionals Institute of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and was a past member of the Shelby County Magistrate Nominating Commission.

Prior Experience:
Prior to joining Kohorst Fischer Plumb Law Firm, PLLC, Jennifer practiced for 18 years as a partner at Cambridge Law Firm, P.L.C. in Atlantic, Iowa. She began her legal career as an associate at a mid-sized firm in Minneapolis, focusing on catastrophic loss and insurance defense.
Education:
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 2003. She earned her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2006.
PERSONAL:
Jennifer is originally from Burlington, Iowa. She and her family now reside in Avoca, Iowa, where she is actively involved in the community. Her civic contributions include membership in P.E.O., Chapter PD, the Iowa Farm Bureau, and the Shelby County Area Chamber of Commerce. She has also served in leadership and board roles for organizations such as the Atlantic Rotary Club, Atlantic Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cass County Abstract Co., Inc. Jennifer staffs both the Harlan and Avoca offices of Kohorst Fischer Plumb Law Firm, PLLC.
